Mario García Haya es un músico y productor dominico-cubano conocido por su trabajo en la música latina, especialmente en géneros como el merengue y el jazz. Ha ganado premios importantes, incluidos los Grammy, gracias a su talento y aportes a la música internacional. También es hijo del renombrado cineasta y fotógrafo cubano Mario García Joya, conocido por su influencia en el cine y la fotografía en Cuba. García Haya ha sido una figura destacada en la promoción de la música latina contemporánea.

Mario García Haya is a prominent Dominican-Cuban musician and producer, known in the artistic world as “Mayitín.”

Throughout his career, he has worked on various film and music productions. He contributed as a music programmer for the film Cartas del Parque (1988) and worked in the music department of Confessing to Laura (1990). Additionally, he was the executive producer and composer for Sueños Inmortales: Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Latino (2012) and served as the musical director for El Rey del Merengue (2020).

In the music industry, García Haya has been recognized for his work on the album Historias Cantadas, which was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 21st Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards.

He is the son of renowned Cuban cinematographer Mario García Joya, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 86.
